This announcement is posted in the Bellevue Salon and in the Abyssal Cellar.
"The Dollar has fallen. It's comparative value has dropped so far as to be worthless, and the spirit of it has receded from even my sight. Let their Theurges wonder if their totem is dead, or has simply been warped beyond any recognition. This is a time for celebration!
Yet sadly, our table is in disarray. This is not entirely unexpected. Any great social change comes with upheaval. We should however do what we can to make the transition a smooth one. If too many of the mortals hurt themselves and perish in the coming struggle, there is far less for us to eat. The riots have not ended yet.
But this is a greater problem than anger. The dollar has entrenched itself so thoroughly in this society that it has dug roots. The humans do not know how to adapt now that we have pulled those roots out.
Here are the priorities as I see them:
We should reduce the violence.
We should insure a food supply.
We should insure a fresh water supply.
If those are achieved we can work on luxuries like maintaining electricity and communications access for the region. I am calling a meeting at the Bellevue Salon to fix the problem this Saturday the 9th. Should some idiot have put the Salon to the torch, it will be held in the Cellar. If the Cellar is inaccessible, I will give a new location.
I hope to have many of these problems resolved by the 30th of August. As you all know, this is the Eides of Caine. This is where we celebrate Caine's first murder, and his mastery over the sons of Seth. Let us prove ourselves ready for such a celebration.
It is traditional that the children of Caine produce works of art honoring the first murder. I am sure that many of you will find willing volunteers for your works of art among the rioters.
